5-31-09 - I'll have to make a blog page so that this
does not fill up so quickly. I spent the day on the 30th at Bead FX
trunk show - if you have not been - mark it on your calendar - we have
so much fun. I think I should not set up my table since I abandon
it as soon as I get there and run to a torch. For some reason I
just love torching when I am there - its great to talk to all the other
lampworkers and demo all day.
5-25-09 - Well finally got an electrician to start
the connections into the shed. What a mess - they dug up my lawn from
house to shed about 500 feet . Dirt everywhere. Of course they have to
level it off but not till they inspect. They hit my well line so that
had to be repaired . Hydro came to inform me that even though I had a
200 amp service the line at the pole needed to be changed out - which
thank goodness is N/C - it was the simplest way to get the 200 amp
service set up properly - but they cant do it till June 15 ! I really
thought I was going to have electric in the shed this weekend. All
I can say is that before end of June I'll have it finally done.
Will be at the Bead FX trunk sale this Saturday so come on by and check
out all their beads - its a great store . I'll probably be on the
torch demo'ing -
Classes will be starting In June - Lampwork, Fusing, Beading, PMC
etc.
I hope to have the electrical up to the studio before the end of May.
I'll be positing pics as it comes along - Currently I have 6 lampwork
stations, two work tables for beading and other work (PMC etc.)
Soldering Station, Electroforming and a metal work station. I am trying
to set up for grinding, cutting and sandblasting. So stay
tuned and once I am close to opening I'll post the classes and dates.
